It is important to me that all materials are chosen carefully and that they will look nice and work together. I like simplicity, structure, minimalism and geometric shapes. Both Aaron and I think that whitewashed plywood interior walls with a black negative detail will make the space interesting, bright and structured. It will work well with the matte black joinery and feel like it belongs together.
First, I was afraid of mixing different timbers together but after working with the project for however long we have been planning this, it made sense and I like the different textures and patterns they have. We will have to wait and see what it looks like when its done. Fingers crossed!

I don’t want to reveal to much at this stage regarding interior fittings and furnishings. All I will say is that we are fans of Raw materials and Quality design. Sometimes when working with a budget those things don’t go hand in hand. And you need to choose quality where it’s most important.
Next week we will plan for lighting, plumbing and electricity. Whatever lighting we will go with my very much desired pendant will probably not be included (chances are, I will never be able to afford my favourite pendant light – Vertigo Pendant)
