ONE STEP FORWARD TWO STEPS BACK

Writer's picture: TT

So far so good.

This last weekend took a bit of a turn. We dry fitted the windows and realised that they are too big. You must allow for a bit of movement, especially important when you have a house on wheels.

The guy that did the site measure did allow for the gaps, we discussed this matter, so somewhere along the way from measure to production this have been missed. We also believe there is something wrong with the hinges for the fold-away door and window. As the door wont open or shut properly and this is the only thing we can point it at. We have used the level and straight-edge all the time throughout the build and made sure our floor is level. Our trailer and framing are spot on!

It looks like it fits. But its not :|

I must say when you are doing this sort of work yourself, you tend to do things properly. Although sometimes there is things that is beyond our control.
